Shooting breaks this winter

We are delighted to have teamed up with Dunbar Sporting to offer shooting at this family run estate 5 minute from our back door.

St Mary's Isle shoot is a family run, well-established shoot over 2000 acres of stunning countryside in SW Scotland, with many drives providing outstanding coastal views

It is set in rolling countryside, rising from sea level to over 400 feet covering over 20 challenging drives, including 450 acres of woodland and three valleys. This has been a well renowned high pheasant shoot for many years.

Pheasants and partridges are shown from mature woodlands and young plantations with the guns standing in open fields to deep bottomed gullies, challenging even the most experienced of game shots.

Drives such as The Glenley Valley, The Moss Banks and The Beech Point should strike fear and pleasure in equal measures into the line of guns.

Want to shoot 2 days back to back - no problem - either 2 x 200 or 2 x 175 days can be accommodated - Prices are £53 a bird - no vat

For Guns that are shooting at St Mary’s Isle we offer an exclusive Bed and Breakfast rate of £95 per single room and £125 per twin room for two to share, staying two nights then our rate reduces to £90 and £110 per night bed and breakfast.

We have open fires, cosy lounges and dogs are welcome in the rooms and the lounge but NOT in dining areas.

Guns can be stored safely in our lockable gun cabinets.

Shoot days start at the Estate house for coffee and introductions before heading out to the first drive at 9.30 - 2 drives then elevenses, 1 more drive then back to the hotel or the house for a delicious Pie of the day, Pheasant, Partridge, Beef and Haggis or Lamb shank, Cheeseboard and Port before heading back for the final afternoon drives.

As a hotel we will send out a shoot accommodation booking form and ask for 50% deposit 8 weeks prior to arrival.
